Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to manage customer projects, including both pre and post technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Field Application Engineers, Product Managers, Testing Engineers, Production and Operations, to ensure the project successfully delivered from end to end with highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Work with sales and Field Application Engineering (FAE) teams to understand customer requirements and project scopes
• Collaborate with Product Managers and design engineers to produce comprehensive design proposals and detailed delivery plans
• Communicate with Operation and Purchasing team prepare all necessary materials and equipment required for customer projects
• Coordinate with the Rack integration team and production line to ensure smooth prototyping as well as mass production timelines and manage the potential risks and dependencies
• Lead and manage project teams to execute projects and complete project deliverables according to plan
• Oversee and manage customer projects, with a special focus on controlling project schedules
• Provide daily or weekly status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and any potential concerns
• Actively participate in our host customer meetings to discuss project status and timelines
• Collaborate with internal teams in regular meetings to review project status, identify challenges, and work towards solutions
• Define escalation paths pertaining to the projects and drive for on-time-delivery
• Make feature improvements to our existing application system(s) required to run our business
• Make efficiency enhancements to our existing process to eliminate redundancy and increase its effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or program management, with a significant portion of that experience dedicated to onsite server rack installations at customer data centers
• Familiar with server, storage, switch, and datacenter related products and services is a plus
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must, as the Project Manager will be required to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding all aspects of onsite server rack installation support

Salary Range

$80,000 - $134,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
