Position Purpose: The IT Project Manager’s role is to plan, execute, and finalize DB&T projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes managing resources as part of those projects and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan and make them accountable. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The person in this role will provide the client DB&T and Business leadership teams with key communications, reports, and presentations detailing the projects’ status and any roadblocks faced by the teams for DB&T activities. Since S4/HANA and its ecosystem are major components of our project, this consultant will work closely with the SAP COE Lead to drive some ERP projects leveraging the Agile scrum methodology.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from beginning to end following the recommended methodologies, including all well-documented artifacts and deliverables.
- Demonstrate good knowledge and expertise in Agile project methodology, including iterative and incremental development, scrum framework, sprint planning, and backlog management.
- Develop, manage, and update full-scale project plans with milestones, dates, and owners.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Provide regular and concise communications reporting to senior leadership composed of HR, DB&T, and Finance members.
- Monitor team performance, ensure tasks are completed timely, and implement mitigation/recovery plans when needed.
- Draft, submit, and track budget proposals, recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Work with CORP DB&T leads and other department managers to acquire required personnel from within the company.
- Collaborate with professional services and vendor companies responsible for product(s) being implemented.
- Manage RAID (Risk, Action, Issues, Decision) log and handle completion and potential escalations.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Manage project and program governance, including scrums, weekly meetings, operating meetings, and steering committees.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans, including business impact.
- Analyze current business processes and system functions to provide users with application tools to increase productivity and promote business objectives.
- Lead or participate in design sessions for prototyping new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Coordinate, perform, and document in-depth tests, including end-user reviews for modified and new systems.
- Work with OCM partners (usually internal) to develop, coordinate, and deliver a sound OCM plan.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk to provide an effective service transition.
- Produce ad hoc reports for analysis of system usage, regulatory compliance, business management, etc., including working with the internal controls team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in business, IT, Finance, or HRIS area.
- 5+ years of direct work experience in a project manager / scrum master capacity, working on ERP project implementations or upgrades as well as Corporate systems.
- Significant experience with Agile scrum framework.
- Experience leading project matrix organization teams.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Strong familiarity with project management software.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Demonstrated communication skills when interacting with top-level leadership in a large global company.

- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
- Good understanding of system architectures, principles of system integrations, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated experience understanding project financials.

- Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and/or conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
