The Project Management Office is responsible for submission and management of projects for various business areas within PREMIER, including the P3 process, and Issue Management. This position will work in close coordination with Project Management Office Managers, other Project Managers, Project Testers, IT App Dev personnel, and business users.
This position is an on-site opportunity at our PREMIER Bankcard location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- Perform project management in support of PREMIER business areas including direction to the project team, assisting in identifying and assigning tasks, identifying individual responsibilities, and time frames.
- Manage the project lifecycle from the feasibility phase to post-implementation, being an advocate for projects and sponsors.
- Research and analyze project requests received from the operational areas to ensure the project supports the sponsors and company goals, includes financial justification, identifies the programming, workflow changes, and technology needs for each project, and review for any unintentional/intentional negative impacts to other departments.
- Write business requirement specifications including project scope, stakeholders, dependencies, test plan/strategies, and project details.
- Create and maintain a healthy and positive working relationship with business areas involved with the project, as well as IT App Dev.
- Follow P3 process of obtaining all necessary approvals (business requirements, functional design documents, and change control documents), submit to IT App Dev, monitor for acceptance, and prioritization.
- Continuous communication to business users and/or IT App Dev on project status, new findings or recommendations, and other issues as they may arise, including but not limited to: project meetings and notes, written and verbal status updates to invested project team, promote and facilitate discussions for issue resolution.
- Establish, maintain, and communicate all PMO and business area deadlines.
- Work with the Project Management Office Testing Department to ensure accurate and approved test scripts are utilized, and testing is complete prior to any project release.
- Coordinate and facilitate testing in business areas if needed, including identifying departments to perform testing. Provide testing procedures and monitor group performance and testing results, along with attending UAT meetings.
- Gain appropriate business area approval prior to implementing any project.
- Promote post release communication, validation from business areas, and attendance of post release meetings.
- Utilize MS Project to record and track projects, including timesheets and schedules.
- Ensure appropriate department goals, objectives, and procedures are satisfied.
- Other duties as assigned, I.E. fulfilling requests from business areas for functional design documents.
- Manage Regulatory and UDAAP Issues as assigned from research/discovery including implementation of any resolutions and closure of issue. Duties would include but are not limited to: ensuring areas impacted are represented on issue team, ensuring accurate criteria is provided for MIS analysis, working with Compliance to obtain remediation guidance, ensuring areas are creating and enhancing controls to validate issue does not occur again, and obtaining necessary approvals from Senior Sponsors and Compliance.
Must possess basic understanding of the credit card system and methodology Two to four years of credit card experience and/or project management experience is required.
Exceptional interpersonal, creative, written, verbal, and group communication skills.
Along with the ability to work independently, show attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Word and Excel proficiency required.
Basic computer skills including Word and Excel, and proficiency of the English language. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to concentrate and work independently.
Must demonstrate leadership skills, attention to detail, possess strong analytical, mulit-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make solid decisions and provide staff with direction, and must be highly motivated and organized.
