At Bosch, we’re proud to offer innovative products that meet or exceed the needs and wants of our customers. To help us continue to expand our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced Project Manager to lead production projects in our electric power steering product area.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure project objectives are met, including timing, specification, budget/profit, and customer satisfaction
- Lead project cross-functional teams, including assigning responsibility for the different functional areas and holding the team accountable to achieve project deliverables and deadlines
- Ensure customer sample requirements are met including on-time delivery, technical content, and part maturity
- Primary interface to customer new model launch and engineering teams for project deliverables and ongoing activities, including technical issues
- Identify project risk items, and lead effort for mitigation/resolution including escalation as needed
- Report status of project deliverables to internal stakeholders in periodic reviews (Project Reviews, Regional PRC, and Global PRC meetings)
- Develop program timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.
- Lead change management with the customer: evaluation of customer change requests including product design, tooling, and process changes for risk, cost, and timing implications.
- Maintain project status in Bosch project management systems and customer portals
- Comfortable making informed decisions for critical topics of complex nature and defending those positions using sound logic and effectively communicating the decision to all stakeholders.
- Excited to take on a role with high visibility and exposure to all levels of internal and external management, that can lead to growth opportunities inside of Bosch.
- Travel up to 20% of the time including some international travel
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related engineering domain
- 5+ years project management experience with successful experience launching automotive products into production
- Automotive OEM interface experience in project management role
- Experience in leading global cross-function project teams, including engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- JOEM automotive Sales/account/project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with complex electromechanical component launch
