Project Manager-Supply Chain/Operations
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager, Operations is responsible for specific communication, tracking, and project coordination activities for assigned projects. These projects would include but not be limited to returns and allowances, inventory control in relation to product discontinuations, and retrieval of funds from customers. The role would directly interface with key members of the sales, supply chain, finance, and operational teams. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the process to successfully deliver against individual project tasks from discovery through reimbursement and for measuring performance against expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Liaise with functional teams to define project briefs. o Develop action plan to deliver against brief with detailed timelines and action plan to ensure success.
o Initiate all project launch documentation and monitor accuracy of all data inputs. o Provide leadership for weekly inventory control meeting
o Analyze and report performance of previous projects, identifying areas for process improvement. o Document and communicate performance against designated performance KPIs o Manage inventory control tracker and inputs from all functional areas
Participate in weekly S&OP process to report progress to members of Executive Team
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor of Science degree in General or Operations Management OR equivalent combination of education, project management certification and/or experience required
o Broad knowledge of food production industry helpful, but not mandatory.
o Previous experience managing accuracy of data, data entry, and document/record management required as well as experience in generating, reviewing and approval of technical food label copy. o Demonstrated ability to problem solve through collaboration with cross-functional teams
o Must be conscientious, accurate, detail oriented, organized and a team player
o Ability to quickly learn new systems/procedures. Must know how to utilize all resources available, be willing to learn and accept changing priorities - Adept at meeting deadlines o Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills o Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Project management and/or CRM software skills a plus.
o Ability to create SQL queries and to work in that environment to aggregate and analyze data o Strong demonstrated project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
