Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Sr. Project Engineer is to ensure that the manufacturing plant and processes continue to operate efficiently and productively. Will be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA. The Sr. Project Engineer will report to the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Company.
Principal Duties
- Define execution and management strategies for engineering projects in accordance with the PISA project management methodology most appropriate for each project.
- Manage resources and work teams for the correct management of projects.
- Ensure quality and regulatory compliance during all phases of the Project.
- Integrate the work teams involved and actively and effectively communicate the status, risks and/or changes of the projects to all interested parties.
- Control the progress of the project considering compliance with time, scope, budget and quality through the implementation of effective indicators.
- Develop business relationships with potential suppliers and support in negotiating contracts.
- Evaluate and improve processes and procedures for the correct management and execution of engineering projects.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and unit operations.
- Working knowledge of process simulation software, such as Aspen Plus.
- Knowledge of engineering in areas such as mechanics, electrical, civil, among others, as well as understanding of the principles and regulations applicable to the food industry.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, such as the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) of the PMI (Project Management Institute).
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis and risk assessment, always seeking to optimize resources and results.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or directly related field required.
- At least Ten (10) years of directly related experience.
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
