Department Summary:The MWCCS is a national, collaborative research effort that aims to understand and reduce the impact of chronic health conditions—including heart, lung, blood, and sleep (HLBS) disorders—that affect people living with HIV. The study is designed to investigate a spectrum of questions relating to the basic science, clinical science, and epidemiology of HIV infection in the U.S., with a focus on comorbidities among men and women living with HIV.Position Summary: Experience in communicating effectively (both speaking and writing) and interacting with participants and staff with diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. (Required) Experience working in the HIV prevention field (Preferred) Experience working with vulnerable populations (individuals living with HIV, injection drug users, individuals with substance use disorder, mental health problems) (Preferred) Experience conducting patient or participant assessments. (Preferred) Ability to assistant participants with diverse psychosocial needs (Required) Ability to work with diverse groups of people, include sexual and gender minorities, racial/ethnic minorities, those who use substances, etc. (Required) Ability to work as a member of a large research team. (Required) Ability to conduct job duties in an ethical, nonjudgmental, culturally competent, and nondiscriminatory manner. (Required) Knowledge of and experience in infectious diseases, support services, outreach, health promotion, and/or similar or related field preferred. (Preferred) Good analytical and interpersonal relationship skills (Required) Excellent time and project management skills. (Required) Ability to manage workload efficiently and effectively.
