Intertek is actively seeking a Project Quality Analyst to join an energetic and collaborative team. The Primary goal of the Project Quality Analyst is to provide oversight, direction and guidance/consultation and quality checkpoints for IT projects from project request submission through project close-out and post-implementation review ensuring compliance with standards and core mandatory controls (CMCs).

- As a governance liaison, works with project managers to ensure all aspects of project management disciplines and ensures compliance with agency specific and State project management and project governance policies, procedures, standards and guidelines have been followed.
- Work with Project Managers to ensure financial compliance (costs are tracked, validated and forecasted)
- Reviews and validates project deliverables to ensure information accuracy, thoroughness, completeness and compliance.
- Ensures all projects have a valid project plan that maintains scope, tasks, schedules, estimates, and status, and that information is accurately disseminated to IT management. Directs corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives.
- Assists with the development, communication, implementation and regular updates of IT Project Management and Systems Development standards, policies, and guidelines and any other governance policies and procedures needed for the overall IT governance framework.
- Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures in the execution of technology projects.
- Monitor the progress of technology projects and provide quick and accurate responses to IT Management as to status, issues and risks of those projects.
- Serve as liaison between IT management, project managers and SOM.
- Monitor and support the management of the division's technology portfolio comprised of projects, systems, data and tools.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, training, and on-boarding for project managers in the areas of project management tools, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Train and mentor new members of the IT Project Governance team as needed.
- Initiate and conduct ongoing and regular IT Process Quality Reviews (PQRs), ensuring Policy, Process, Procedure adherence to Intertek's PMO processes, procedures and cost tracking that impact Project deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and materials for regular reviews with the Head of Architecture, Head of PMO and Project Managers.
- Some specific tasks would include:
- In conjunction with each IT project manager Develop and own financials for each IT project, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Review one project per week for project compliance
- Last approver (Quality approver) of all BRD, Designs, Tests scenarios
- Work with PMs to maintain a project status list for all projects.
- Develop checklists and ensure that projects are approved, executed and closed according to our Project Methodology and adhere to core mandatory controls
Requirements:
- Education requirement. Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CS, Business or related studies (or equivalent experience)
- Experience requirement.
- Formal project management expertise and knowledge of project management methodology/SDLC/PLC processes in IT services environments.
- Ability to influence people outside the immediate span of control, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and work with business users, IT partners and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
- Other essential requirement/qualification.
- Proven project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
- Experience with SDLC techniques
- Deep Understanding of organizational change and leadership principles
- Experience providing quality control for IT projects

- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate
- PM Certification(s) preferred
