About the role
Are you an experienced and detail-oriented project scheduler with a strong background in the electric/power utilities industry? Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to take your career to the next level? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
UtilliCo is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Scheduler II to join our project management team at our Midwest Office in Creve Coeur. As a Project Scheduler II, you will play a key role in the successful planning and execution of complex projects within the electric/power utilities sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of projects.
What you"ll do
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-leading project management software, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers to gather project data, update schedules, and identify potential risks and delays.
- Conduct thorough schedule analysis, including critical path analysis, resource allocation, and cost estimates, to optimize project timelines and resource utilization.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting any schedule deviations or critical path impacts.
- Lead and facilitate schedule review meetings with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Project Scheduler I and other team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of project scheduling standards, processes, and tools to enhance overall project management efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project schedules.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in project scheduling and management within the electric/power utilities sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the electric/power utilities industry.
- Proficient in using industry-leading project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify schedule risks and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in conducting critical path analysis, resource allocation, and cost estimation.
- Previous experience mentoring and guiding junior team members is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to electric/power utilities projects is highly desirable.
