About the Job
Project Superintendent will lead production crews, maintain positive working relations between company and subcontractors and owners. Project types include: Highway construction, canal/river restoration, dams and reservoirs, utility, and overlot grading projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervise and manage subcontractors and crews on work site. 2. Coordinate and schedule maintenance with Fleet Manager. 3. Provide safe work environment, conduct weekly safety meetings and attend company wide safety meetings, follow OSHA / MSHA Safety regulations. 4. Complete daily job logs and other project paperwork in a timely manner. 5. Comply with quality control requirements for government and project engineer specifications. 6. Assist work crews as needed. 7. Successfully communicates verbally and in writing for necessary day-to-day operations and record keeping. 8. Competency and experience preferred on the following equipment: wheel loaders, dozers, scrapers, and excavators. 9. Demonstrates effective teamwork skills. 10.Capable of extended work hours and weekend work as well as working away from home. Our work area is within the state of Colorado, both on the western slope and up & down the front range. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Minimum 3 years experience as a Supervisor / Superintendent / Foreman on highway construction. 3. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in road / bridge/ earthwork or any combination. 4. Good driving record. 5. CDL Class A or B preferred, but not required.
