About the Job
Job Description:
- The Project Test Engineer is responsible for managing test readiness to assure successful execution of testing in Space Systems.
- The Project Test Engineer will interface daily with Program, Operations , Quality and Purchasing personnel to ensure that customer committed test schedules are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
- The main role of the Project Test Engineer is to manage the preparation of testing to maintain program schedules.
- Identify upcoming testing from program schedules
- Determine resources (rigs, tooling, instrumentation) needed to perform testing
- Work with lab management to determine the availability of the resources needed to perform testing and work with management to resolve any bottlenecks.
- Coordinate the gathering of test resources
- Coordinate the repair of test tooling and the calibration of instrumentation needed to support testing
- Work with the purchasing group to coordinate testing at outside test locations Applicant must have the capability of working independently and be self-motivated.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are required.
- Ability to proficiently operate common Microsoft Office software products are required.
