The main function of a vehicle coordinator is to support different departments in Michigan with the on/off boarding of vehicles, overseeing active vehicles onsite, ensure vehicles and keys are accounted for (physical inventory count). The coordinator supports the effective utilization of vehicles and operational efficiency. This position requires on-site presence, occasional travel to different locations and may require extended hours for urgent support.
Responsibilities
- Receive and release vehicles including noting vehicle condition.
- Onboarding and offboarding vehicles, overseeing active fleet.
- Liaison for the Michigan SOS
- Tracking and documenting vehicle registration, license, fuel card and vehicle transportation requests.
- Manage on-site vehicles: track vehicles ready to be relocated, notify customers to retrieve their vehicles promptly due to limited parking.
- End of life vehicle processing (scrapping)
- Provide status update, manage critical deadlines to ensure timely completion and best customer experience.
- Supporting team members in other locations outside of Michigan (e.g. Long Beach, Sunnyvale, NPG…)
- Performs economic and other analysis as required to achieve the best least cost.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related.
- 1-2 years’ experience required.
- Valid drivers
- An operational logistic person would be ideal
- People skills are also important with this rols to help solve probolems
- Willing to learn
- Working with Jira (Atlassian) software preferred
- Previous automotive, vehicle fleet management preferred
