About the Job
The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and managing various monthly reports and processes, monthly construction draws, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. This position reports to and supports the controller and CFO. The Financial Analyst is a problem solver and supports the accounting related needs of property management and development by working with the accounting team to plan, collect, and analyze data to support the management decision making processes. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining critical spreadsheets on a monthly basis to support various month end close out processes, banking and cash management, general ledger accounting, and investigating software issues and solutions. The candidate will act as a key communicator, internally and externally, representing the company and the accounting department, and responsible for upholding appropriate BECO Image, Culture and Values at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the controller by compiling and managing monthly construction cost data.
- Assist the controller and CFO with managing various plans and policies within the company’s insurance programs.
- Works with the construction department and accounts payable to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly payment applications and related reports.
- Supports accounting management with monthly close and other processes.
- Provides valuable and relevant process improvement recommendations.
- Generates monthly reports for management review.
- Assists with software support, customizations and data migration, when necessary.
- Expected to be a key team member for securing financing for new developments.
- Support and serve as primary back up for cash and accounts payable management.
- This position’s responsibilities will evolve with the continued growth of the company’s real estate development and property management volume.
- 5 years of experience in a related role and professional setting.
- Multifamily and commercial construction industry experience preferred.
- A general understanding of working in a real estate or construction accounting system required.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing and demanding environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Finance and accounting degrees are most favorably considered.
