Property Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing

CFS Columbus has again partnered with a local real estate firm to fill a need in their accounting department. Our client is small in terms of the number of employees but maintains a large portfolio of diverse real estate properties. The firm is well respected by its investors and looking to bring a new Property Accountant to its tight-knit group.

THE ROLE

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting
• Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of all ledgers, accounts, portfolios, and balance sheets
• Managing deposits and reconciliations
• Maintain records of company assets
• Manage taxes, budgeting, payroll, and general monthly expenses
• Ensure the accuracy of the information concerning properties and tenants
• Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare CAM and real estate tax reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets
• Monitor daily cash balances
• Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Yardi or similar software
• Team player, positive attitude, and outgoing personality
