Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations for multiple entities and properties
- Analyze and Prepare monthly financial statements on accrual basis for multiple properties & entities
- Oversee and clean up AR and AP reports throughout the month and make corrections as needed
- Record wide variety of journal entries as needed and on a monthly, yearly, and one-time basis and assure accordance with GAAP
- Prepare 258 Reporting for MHFA on a monthly and annual basis for all Affordable properties
- Prepare annual 258 Reporting Budgets for MHFA as well as auditors and owners
- Prepare Excess Income Reports on a monthly basis for all Affordable properties in portfolio
- Prepare Replacement Reserve Draws and Residual Receipt Draws on an ongoing schedule
- Audit preparation
- Complete Monthly Gross Potential Recs for all properties to record vacancy journal entries
- Direct and Support Accounts Payable Admin as needed
- Prepare opening journal entries for new acquisitions
- Prepare closing journal entries for sold properties
- Monitor monthly Government ACH transactions and report to sites
- Maintain financial backup for all financial transactions
- Review and analyze escrows and coordinate escrow analysis with lenders as you see needed
- Prepare financial and occupancy reporting for all Sect 8, Section 42, and Section 236 properties
- Record cash deposits and prepare deposits
- Bill and process monthly management fees and do annual reconciliations of fees
- Serve as support to site for accounting help and direction
- Identify Process Improvements and document for staff training.
Requirements:
- Minimum Two year Degree in Accounting
- Two or more years of accounting or related field experience preferred but not required
- Experience with Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as work cohesively within a team with great attention to detail and accurateness
