Property Accountant

About the Company

CFS has partnered with a leading real estate firm managing a world-class portfolio of 100+ commercial and residential properties, including high-profile and international assets.

We're seeking a smart and eager Property Accountant to manage financial reporting for a set of properties, working alongside the Group Controller.

Location: Stamford, CT
Work Modality: 100% in-office
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Prepare financial statements (GAAP, Tax, and Fair Value basis)
• Assist with reporting to management, investors, and lenders
• Support annual audits with independent CPA firms
• Oversee cash flow, budgets, and expense approvals
• Manage CAM/Tax reconciliations and sales tax filings
• Oversee lease administration, AR, and AP functions
• Perform ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting
• Solid understanding of GAAP, Fair Value, and Tax basis accounting
• Experience with Real Estate Industry Software (Yardi, MRI)
