Property Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our property management company as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, performing repairs and installations. Candidate must be able to evaluate multiple issues such as; electrical, plumbing, and heating. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance, along with reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies on call.
Property Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple properties.
- Perform repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems.
- Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, water systems, & septic systems.
- On-call to respond to emergency issues on scheduled nights & weekends.
- Performs skilled and unskilled construction and repair work to buildings and homes.
- Perform maintenance tasks related to removal of trash, brush and debris from homes and lawn.
- Mows grass, weed eat, remove pine straw, sticks and pine cones.
- Performs other related duties such as removing hot water heater, blowing out septic lines, locating water leaks and repairs.
Property Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Vocational or trade school certification preferred (not required).
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing and septic systems.
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, crawl under homes, not afraid of heights, and lift objects throughout the workday.
- General knowledge of dry wall, painting and trim repair.
- General knowledge of the use of common hand and specialized power tools required in the work such as chainsaw, skill-saw and drills.
- Skilled in the use of vehicles and equipment such as dump truck, zero-turn mower, tractor with bush-hog, and weed eater.
- Ability to follow instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
Special Requirement: Must have a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
