FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried-Exempt
Normal Working Hours – Office Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, in our corporate San Antonio office
As a Proposal Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the growth and success of Joeris by leading the proposal development process from start to finish. You will work closely with marketing, business development, and operations teams to produce high-quality proposals and RFP responses that showcase Joeris' expertise and win construction contracts. In addition to writing, graphic design, and strategy development, you will also maintain proposal assets, develop construction knowledge, and adapt information into different formats to meet objectives. Your daily activities will often be deadline-driven, and you will be responsible for driving the proposal development process and producing the final deliverables. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist with interview preparation meetings and the process to win the job, making this an exciting and rewarding role for a highly motivated and detail-oriented candidate.
Responsibilities:1. Create and prepare appealing + informational proposals in response to Requests for Proposals/ Qualifications (RFP/RFQ), which include:
- Reviewing RFP/ RFQ and determining requirements to complete proposal submission
- Ensuring response meets all RFP/RFQ criteria.
- Gathering information and content from team and consultants as needed
- Creating and editing informational graphics
- Maintaining scheduling and tracking status for individual pursuit and proposal elements
- Handle final digital or print production and arrange for on-time delivery of proposal
- Assist with the facilitation of interview preparation meetings and process.
- Generate and update presentations and marketing collateral for project interviews and other presentations.
- Maintain proposal assets and job progress documentation, including photos, project facts and stats, boilerplate, and graphics.
- Gather research data related to clients; competitors; vertical markets; and other relevant factors.
- Produce and update team resumes and project sheets.
- Perform additional marketing and administrative tasks at the direction of the Manager, Marketing & Pursuits or Senior Manager, Marketing.
- Assist the Business Development and operations team with other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with degree or coursework in Business, Marketing, or Communications, including but not limited to technical writing, journalism, graphic design, integrated marketing communications, creative writing, speech communication and rhetoric, English language and literature, international and global studies, construction science, architecture, sociology, organizational leadership, history, and philosophy.
- Experience with or training in graphic design and page layout.
- 2-3 years of A/E/C Industry experience recommended.
- Experience in RFP/RFQ proposal strategy, development, and production recommended.
Skills
- Proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- 2-3 years of experience using InDesign in an academic or professional setting recommended
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with cloud-based marketing applications such as Canva and Prezi
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
