Proposal Manager
- Salary: $90,000 -$130,000, DOE + 2x Annual Bonus
- Full-Time/Direct Hire: Benefits, 401k w/4% match
- Location: Irvine/Diamond Bar
- (First 3 months onsite, then Hybrid during Print Time)
Description:
We are looking for a self-driven Proposal Manager to join our dynamic growing team! This is a full-time position in Irvine office to assist in multiple areas, reporting to the President.
- Proposal Preparation Business Development and other Administrative and Human Resources functions to support our growth.
- Manage Proposal processes and all that goes into preparing an RFP (resumes, project sketches, company brochures, related documents)
and Marketing materials - Work on 2-3 RFPs weekly. The total output of RFPs annually is 130!
- Coordinating proposal production (from planning to printing)
- Event Coordination including conferences, exhibitions, and internal company events
- Updating company's social media
- Assist in writing, editing and production of statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations and other marketing materials, or assist with such efforts.
- Timely communications with internal staff and external subconsultants and vendors to ensure on-time completion of proposals
- Assist in developing graphics for proposals and marketing materials.
- Assist the Proposal Managers to develop client presentation strategies, including story-telling in written and visual forms.
- Assist in composition of narrative for marketing materials such as proposals, representative project cut-sheets, resumes, etc. using creative and persuasive writing skills.
- Assist in creating concepts for and coordinates production of collateral materials.
- Assist in gathering, formatting and maintaining accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information including staff bios, project descriptions and statistics, and other information for marketing purposes.
- Supports the implementation of corporate PR initiatives, and social media.
- Updates firmwide database with project and proposal information on an ongoing basis.
- Additional clerical duties, if needed
Requirements:
- Intermediate level (5-7 years). However, more is acceptable.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, business or related field is highly desirable.
- Experience with engineering consulting firms and/or handling engineering proposals are a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
- Creativity in developing graphics for proposals and marketing materials is a must.
- Excellent writing and communication skills and attention to detail.
- High pressure, muti-tasker, works under extreme pressure.
- Ability to multi-task a must!
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, being able to work with other staff and outside teaming partners to obtain input into each proposal.
- Promote teamwork and perform duties in a professional and team-playing manner.
