HOW YOU WOULD BE SPENDING YOUR TIME AS A PROPOSAL MANAGER
The Proposal Manager will lead and manage proposals and actively participate in the pursuit process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and presentations, coordinate meetings, and write proposal content
- Organize/update database of project information
- Coordinate proposal process while keeping standard procedures to include planning, reviewing, and producing statements of qualifications and proposals
- Research and gather information to include in proposals, i.e. resumes and project summaries
- Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity
- Provide final quality control, such as: grammatical proofreading, request for proposal (RFP) compliance, and adherence to the established strategy and plan
- Verify complex technical solutions; strategies and themes are easily understood, readable, and compelling
- Maintain databases with updated project descriptions, text libraries, resumes, and opportunities
- Ability to collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and all project team members in the proposal preparation process
- Assists in the development of other marketing collateral, such as brochure
WHY WE WOULD WANT YOU TO JOIN THE TEAM AS A PROPOSAL MANAGER
- Ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in a marketing role within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry
- Bachelor's degree with 4 to 7 years of experience recommended
- Without a degree, 5+ years of relevant A/E/C experience required
- Strong understanding of A/E/C industry and familiarity with industry terms, deliverables, and processes
- Strong knowledge of RFP and proposal process
- Basic business management skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manager multiple priorities/tasks and possess strong organizational skills
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Must be able to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to excellence
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite including In Design (Photoshop and Illustrator a plus)
- Experience with a CRM preferred
