The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 to 99,000 + bonus and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Summary
The Proposal Manager's core function is to ensure the company's proposals are fully executed from start to finish. In this role, one is responsible for all aspects of the proposal delivery including evaluation, project kick-off, initial response and refinement.
Responsibilities:Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for assembling required resources, skills and matrixed support functions to develop proposal content and conformance to RFP requirements
- Leads and participates in color team reviews, accordingly to Shipley standards
- Creates compliance matrix and proposal outline
- Manages overall content design, development and review as well as overseeing proposal production and delivery activities
- Works with Program Management, Pricing, and Capture Management to ensure clean execution of proposals and reviews
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Receives very little instruction on day-to-day work and demonstrates ability to use independent judgment in solving issues or making decisions
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years' experience working in Federal Government proposal development using the Shipley or equivalent proposal process and developing storyboards, mock-ups, proposal outlines
- Experienced in the aerospace or defense industry and a clear understanding of the Business Development life-cycle
- Demonstrated proposal writing experience with comprehensive knowledge of compliance matrices and generating volume outlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates high caliber of communication skills, both written and verbal
