The Role:
The Proposal and Sales Enablement Specialist will lead end-to-end proposal submissions across all business segments, from initial research to project management and content gathering to final submission. They will write clear, concise, and persuasive content for proposals, focusing on the value proposition, benefits, and solutions our organization can offer. This includes customizing proposals to suit each prospect's unique needs and preferences while maintaining brand consistency. This role will also lead content programming for the Sales Enablement team, which may include sales support for presentations, collateral development, and internal communications. The Proposal and Sales Enablement Specialist is a professional with a background in sales, marketing, or project management; they are a motivated and detail-oriented self-starter. This person will support the growth of a fast-growing, mission-driven organization.
The Team:
The Sales Enablement team is responsible for equipping Carrot's Commercial team with the training, process, and content needed to drive an effective sales process and ultimately exceed revenue goals. The Commercial organization is made up of our sales distribution channels (Employer, Consultant Relations, Health Plan, and Partnerships), all uniquely responsible for ensuring a consistent and thriving new business growth strategy.
The proposal team sits within the Sales Enablement organization and is responsible for implementing and managing processes to ensure accurate, quality responses to RFPs, RFIs, vendor profile systems, and sales-related questionnaires. The team creates and maintains content for an internal knowledge base that houses data organized by the needs of each customer type, and ensures alignment across the organization. Communication and coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be a large part of the project management process.
This role will be a hybrid role with approximately 75% of work toward proposals and approximately 25% toward Sales Enablement initiatives but can vary based on team capacity and season.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, leading meetings and owning projects
- Detail-oriented with excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Experience in the healthcare benefits industry
- Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-Starter: The ideal candidate should have a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently. They should be motivated to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
- Adaptability: The Proposal Specialist should thrive in a dynamic environment and be capable of adjusting their approach to meet evolving needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with a proposal management software is preferred
- 2+ years experience in a marketing or sales environment
- Previous experience in a writing or project management-focused role
- Proven experience in a remote-based environment
Compensation:

The starting base salary for this position will range from $65,000.00 - $75,000.00. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
