We are seeking a qualified Proposal Specialist to add to our growing Inside Sales Team. As a Proposal Specialist, you will support the Sr. Proposal & Pursuit Manager with development of proposals to contractors, engineers, and owners. We are looking for a goal-oriented, proactive, organized, enthusiastic team player with outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills to join us. You will be joining a team that that focuses heavily on consistent processes and collaboration to deliver outstanding quality work and client service.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinating and creating proposals that clearly demonstrate that the Structural Group family of companies is uniquely positioned to deliver significant benefits to our clients’ infrastructure repair and upgrade projects
- Participating in all phases of proposal development for SOQs, RFQs, RFPs, and client deliverables, as required
- Organizing, attending, and leading strategy calls with key stakeholders across our organization
- Facilitating and coordinating proposal development with multiple disciplines including operations, engineering, technical subject-matter-experts, A/E consultant and contracting teaming partners
- Compiling proposal outlines, compliance/responsibility matrices and schedules, assigning and assuming responsibilities, as well as directing and managing proposal reviews to meet submittal deadlines
- Supporting narrative development including but not limited to creation, editing, and proof reading to fully address the requirements of the RFP and needs of the client
- Proactively supporting content development for upstream major pursuits alongside active proposal due dates
- Developing proposal, case study, and resume templates
- Creating compelling infographics and adding strategic images to proposals
- Managing archiving proposal elements and company data—including but not limited to maintaining, developing, and updating internal information including resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate narratives, graphics, and templates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or Marketing
- 3+ years of combined experience working in proposal development in the architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) environment
- Experience with Federal proposals and pursuits is preferred
- Self-driven with an ability to work independently alongside business development and operational team members
- Desire to learn, accept oversight and input from colleagues and supervisor
- High Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Intermediate skills with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
