AECOM is seeking a Proposal Management Specialist to support our East Region marketing team. This position will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office scheduling and can be based in, but not limited to, the following locations: Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX.

Job Summary

• Lead medium to large proposals and presentations, and support from capture through to interview stage, with support as required. Support capture managers in development of the win strategy during capture through interview preparation.

• Create annotated outlines and content plan and provides recommendations to technical teams on section structures. May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and/or management approaches for proposals.

• Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red team), quality reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.

• Participate by providing recommendations in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.

• Complete internal debriefs for proposals they lead, leverage past pursuit debrief information. Support team during win/loss debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.

• May support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs) and business lines, as necessary.

• Coach entry level proposal team members

• Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

Minimum Requirements: 

• BA/BS + 4 years of relevant proposal writing and/or management experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 4+ of relevant proposal writing experience a plus
• Prior experience in the AEC industry preferred
• Organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage and complete varied work tasks on schedule
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write and edit proposal materials
• Diplomacy with peers and internal clients in handling challenging situations
• Takes initiative and formulates creative ideas in proposals, presentations, and other marketing related areas
• Experience with graphic design and layout. Proficient in ADOBE Acrobat Suite, specifically InDesign
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM SalesForce
• A professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks with differing deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Work may occasionally be required in the evenings or weekends to meet deadlines
