The Proposal Technical Writer is a key supporting member of the Proposal Development Center (PDC). This position is crucial for supporting and leading the creation of compelling and compliant capture and proposal material in response. The Proposal Technical Writer provides full lifecycle, Federal proposal support, from draft state content planning, template development, and writing and editing key proposal volumes and sections (I.e.: technical approaches, management plans, transition plans, quality assurance plans, resumes, past performance, and narrative volumes), through submission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate writing assignments and outlines against RFP requirements and contribute to the design and planning of proposal sections.
- Provide and coordinate the development of proposal documents, collaborating directly with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Volume Leads to meet solicitation requirements.
- Write succinct, persuasive proposal sections for competitive proposals, clearly articulating the approach chosen by the proposal leadership team within RFP space and format limitations. May be the architect of an approach to an assigned section or may work closely with designated subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop an approach to an assigned section.
- Ensure clear, compliant, compelling, and persuasive writing of proposal sections; translate complex ideas into easily understandable text.
- Research material needed for assigned sections, including team contract and programmatic experience required for substantiation.
- Apply communication and interviewing skills to gather necessary information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities.
- Actively participate in a collaborative team environment to articulate solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators.
- Produce compliant text and accompanying graphics.
- Proven ability to write compliant and compelling proposal sections in response to Government solicitations in support of a variety of departments and agencies (Federal/Civilian and DoD/IC).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Here's What You Need:
- U.S. Citizen on U.S. soil (required)
- BA or BS degree or higher (or equivalent) in Journalism, English, Business, Information Technology, or Communication Arts, or other relevant fields and 3+ years of experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Federal proposal writing experience, preferably solutions-based proposals.
- Experience with FEDSIM and Self-Scoring bids
- Technical background with knowledge of applications/software development and sustainment, cloud solutions, cyber operations, and agile methodologies for defense, civilian, space, and National security sectors of the federal government.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
