ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Analyzes the requirements of RFPs/RFQs and crafts responses that adequately meet and address requirements.
Writes and editsproposalsfor readability, consistency, and appropriate tone describing company capabilities, management approach, and/or past performance.
Collaborates with subject matter experts and corporate personnel to develop technical content for responses which are compliant with theproposalrequests.
Analyzes data to ensure relevancy of past performance materials to current requirements. Coordinates all information in format requested in RFP and according to Company standards.
Edits and proofreadsproposalsand other related materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, and, consistency with company guidelines as well as other technical compliance.
Collaborates with Corporate Leadership to developproposalstrategy, identify potential areas of improvement, solutions, and themes for theproposal.
Meetsproposaldeadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering,writing, review, and approval.
Preparesproposalby evaluating text, utilizing unique graphic design, and binding or coordinating printing.
Maintains files of all RFPs, completedproposals, presentations, resumes, pictures, and project information.
Completes Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) following the same requirements as for RFPs.
Assists in special projects requested by Business Development, Estimating/ Preconstruction and Operations Departments.
Participates in project opportunity evaluations and present facts for a go or no go decision on pursuits.
Prepares/creates internal collateral such as business cards, internal promotional materials, stickers, calendars, and apparel.
Updates company website and manages social media accounts. Performs market research, analysis, and monitors capture rates. Attends industry events and pre-bid conferences.
Researches, creates, and coordinates advertising opportunities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school degree in related field preferred; or at least two years work experience inwritingproposalsin response to Private and Government RFPs. 2+ years of technicalwriting, and editing experience in all professional and businesswriting.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Design Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Social Media, Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation Software (PowerPoint); and Publisher Software; Estimating Software.
