Axient's Space Business Segment is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides full life-cycle support to the United States Space Forces Assured Access to Space – National Security Space Launch (NSSL).
We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles.
This position is in Denver, CO.
What you will do...:
Responsibilities include designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, documentation preparation for complex systems and operational support of these systems. Areas of specialization include launch system technologies related to rocket and spacecraft propulsion. This position will support the Space Force's launch enterprise by performing assessments and analysis on launch vehicle propulsion components to ensure successful launches.
Responsibilities also include:
- Support Customer acquisition functions such as requirements development, request for proposals, and cost/technical/schedule/performance reports.
- Perform and support systems engineering functions such as requirements definition, design review, test review, risk management, pedigree, hardware acceptance, verification, operations, anomaly resolution, and post-flight analyses.
- Plan, coordinate, brief, support Engineer Review Boards, program reviews, and other meetings.
- Perform technical and engineering data management, such as data mining and reporting.
- Collaborate with USAF System Program Offices, Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors (LVCs), Subcontractors, Launch Sites, and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
- Prepare weekly and other written evaluations and reports of a technical nature.
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM field
- 8+ years of related experience in Aerospace
- Experience and expertise in solid and/or liquid propulsion design, test, procedures, and anomaly resolution.
- Experience in performing risk assessments and actionable recommendations and mitigations.
- Knowledge of systems engineering functions from requirements development through post-flight reporting.
- Experience in customer interactions with USAF, SMC, DCMA, NASA, NRO, LV, subcontractors and Aerospace Corporation.
- Experience in preparing and giving written and verbal presentations and reports to senior engineers and management.
- Excellent knowledge of Launch Vehicle propulsion interface systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Information Technology systems and databases.
- Current DoD secret clearance or ability to obtain a secret clearance
