Job Description:
The Provider Data Services Specialist (PDSS) performs accurate and timely abstraction, auditing, and monitoring of data from various information sources to support abstraction activities (e.g., regulatory and accreditation required registries, Intermountain approved databases supporting clinical programs and clinical services with Select Health, Castell, R1 and Intermountain based business operations).
The Specialist will assist with quality improvement activities related to database or registry outputs and supports Intermountain based software to implement and maintain correct, current, and up to date information for Intermountain, Select Health and R1 business data.
The Specialist will work closely with the centralized credentialing department to audit their initial credentialing applications and ensure applications meet federal guidelines and requirements.
This is a fully remote position with quarterly in person meetings you would be expected to be at.
This is a 100% remote position however, currently we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington
Minimum Qualifications
+ Demonstrated experience in the use of a sophisticated computerized data system and requires effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
+ Must have intermediate level experience with spreadsheets, word processing and database applications, intermediate expertise in working with data models and the ability to run queries expertly. Understands proof of concepts and workflows, demonstrates analytical, organizational and communication skills and can interpret data for implementation into the system.
+ Demonstrated workload management/prioritization skills.
+ The incumbent must be able to work with a variety of health care professionals, able to function with minimal supervision, be self-motivated, keep confidences, have ability to adapt to frequent interruptions, have ability to solve problems and make decisions and possess organization and good communications skills.
+ Ability to work through frequent interruptions, solve problems, make decisions, and possess excellent organization and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
+ Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services is preferred: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$21.20 - $32.26
