About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Psych Nursing **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Nights, 3x11.5-hour shifts (7 PM - 7:30 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** 2+ years in Psychiatry and Medical-Surgical **License:** New York RN License **Certifications:** BLS, CPI **Must-Have:** Experience with EPIC EMR **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care within the scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and adhere to regulatory standards and ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. - Assure safety in practice with a focus on evidence-based practice and responsibly advance self and team knowledge. - Report identified safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors. - Possess knowledge of the patient population served and supervise the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members. - Collaborate with other patient care providers to ensure quality care. - Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement. - Utilize the nursing process to integrate all care aspects and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs. - Be flexible with assignments, including floating to other psych units and medical-surgical care units. - Be available to work every other weekend and holidays as required.
