About the Job
Bethlehem Counseling Associates is a premier counseling practice of the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years. We offer individual, family and couples counseling and medication management to clients looking for mental health support. We offer a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client's needs.
We are currently looking for an additional Psychiatric Medical Assistant/Administrator to join our team! We'd love to meet the right candidate who is reliable, has a passion for the mental health field, enjoys building relationships with clients and coworkers.
This person will work alongside our existing Medical Assistant and Administrators to support our CRNP/PMHNP, clinicians and clients
Applicants should possess the following skills:
- Experience working in a HIPAA compliant healthcare setting
- Ability to obtain client's vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment with Nurse Practitioner
- Work in the front office, checking in clients, answering phone calls/emails, scheduling and cancelling appointments
- Assist the nurse in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
- Coordinate with outside providers to collect existing medical records
- Ability to remain flexible in prioritizing of clients and clinician's needs
Preferred skills for the job:
- 2+ years of experience working in healthcare
- Mental health experience
- Medical Assisting Degree/Certificate
- Understanding of medication prior authorizations
- History of administering GeneSight cheek swab
- Medical record keeping
