We are seeking a Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for their outpatient substance use treatment program in Warwick. The program provides PHP, IOP, and OP services to adults (18+).

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision of the Psychiatrist/Medical Director, focusing on comprehensive client assessment and diagnosis, medication prescription, and overall treatment planning specific to co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting. This role is essential for developing and executing treatment strategies that include both psychiatric and substance use aspects, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, ensuring thorough documentation, and providing client education. The practitioner may also extend their care by offering primary medical services as appropriate and regulated.
The duties of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner include conducting psychiatric evaluations to assess both mental health and substance use needs, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic and addiction-related medications, and collaborating with clinical teams to implement treatment plans that address the full spectrum of the clients' conditions. They are responsible for educating clients and their families about both mental health and substance use management, maintaining meticulous client records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and explaining lab test results to patients in the context of their overall treatment plan.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Education: Masters of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
* Licensure: Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
* Three (3) years of experience related to the above describe duties.
* Experience related to start up substance use treatment services.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations.

Pay: $60.00 - $110.00 per hour
