Hartford HealthCare’s Behavioral Health Network (HHC BHN), the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health system in New England, has a new opportunity available for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our cohesive multidisciplinary inpatient team at The Institute of Living, one of America’s “Ivy League” Behavioral Health Centers, and a national leader in comprehensive treatment, research and education. 

Some highlights of this opportunity include:

·         The Outpatient Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner practices with a team of providers on multiple outpatient adult programs including partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) providing psychiatric treatment gor a general adult population including: psychiatric evaluations; diagnosis;  prescribing; psychotherapy; coordination of care, and patient education

·         A academic environment including teaching and research for interested providers.

·         Collegial and supportive interprofessional collaboration with supervising physicians.

·         Frequent collaboration with other medical and mental health specialties

·         Monday through Friday schedule with some flexibility.

Qualifications

Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is required. National Board Certification, or eligibility to be certified, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
