Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc.

• Conducts therapy, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing clients.
• Develops individual service plans based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of on-going medication management services.
• Maintains documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, quarterly treatment plan reviews, and other required information in compliance with agency and third-party compliance standards.
• Diagnosing, conducting, and prescribing medications for patients having mental health problems and those likely to have them.
• Responsible for developing appropriate treatment plans and providing effective management of patient care with proper evaluations.
• Receives medical supervision from Medical Director.
• Coordinates care with other Prescribers, Therapists and other community providers for effective delivering of clinic service to patients.
• Document all medical/clinical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, referrals, education and consultations established by practice in electronic medical/clinical record.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with psychiatric patients.
• Efficient and disciplined work habits enabling to responsibility maintain an active and high case load.
• Interpersonal skills needed to work with diverse populations and outside agencies or vendors.
• Ability to be proactive and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing;
• Licensed in the state of Maryland with specialty in Psychiatry.
• Three (3) or more years of post-graduate clinical experience working in an environment where psychiatric care is provided;
• Previous experience working in an Electronic Medical/Clinical Record.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required.
