A well know health care center located in Pleasantville, NY is looking for an Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Position Type: Full-Time/Perm
Location: Pleasantville, NY
Schedule: Mon-Fri Day Shift (09:00am-05:00pm)
Job Description:
• Psych NP experience with children/adolecents required.
• Medicaid certification is a plus, must be willing to register for this (this is the talents responsibility no one can do this for them).
• Working at a boarding school for low IQ and/or autistic children.
• Responsible for annual psych evaluations, kids on meds will have to be seen once a month.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for children and adolescents ages 8-23
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
• Collaborate with a team of psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide ongoing patient care, including follow-up visits and adjusting treatment as needed.
• Respond to psychiatric crises and assist in care coordination.
Qualifications:
• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with pediatric experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Medicaid enrollment preferred.
Certs/Licensure
• Must have Psych NP
