Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs, FNPs, AGNPs) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) licensed in Colorado to work direct care within our contracted Skilled Nursing Facilities.
We are currently offering a 5k Sign-On bonus for Full-Time providers who have previously been credentialed with Medicaid and/or Medicare.
Service areas incorporate:
- Denver Metro
Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
- Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
- Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
- Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
Job Type:
- Full-time or Part-time available
W2 Billable Hour or 1099 Independent Contractor Rates - As a provider with BHS, you will have the freedom to create your own schedule, days of the week preferred.
Requirements
- Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
- Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
Skills
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
- Excellent written communication.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus!

Pay:
- $150,000 to $230,000 annually DOE
- Billable Hour, W2 and Independent Contractor options available.
- Compensation determined based on pay model preferred, experience, and licensure.
