CFG has a flexible part time opportunity for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to work 16 hours per week for the Archway Program in Sewell, NJ. The program is open Monday - Friday from 9am - 3:30. This position allows you to work in an adult partial programs. Sewell is located in beautiful southern New Jersey and is a planned stop on the Glassboro-Camden line. It is home to a number of attractions including Barnsboro, the oldest bar in NJ, and Tall Pines Preserve, an 111 acre nature preserve.

Responsibilities
- An integral member of the healthcare team, coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family/guardian.
- Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
- Provides patient and family education relative to nursing/medical and clinical services.
- Consults with medical specialists associated with patient's current treatment and/or treatment history.
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment to patients admitted to the program.
- Perform nursing histories and physical assessments.
- Facilitate patient and families in meeting their psychosocial needs.
- Provide medication evaluations and management in collaboration with the program's Medical Director/Psychiatrist.
- Administer medication to patients as prescribed.
- Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Master's Degree and must have current and valid Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse license.
- Must have State of NJ prescriptive authority.
- Have a thorough understanding of use of psychotropic medications.
- Shall be involved in continuing education activities to further his/her own professional development.
