Location: Okemos
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Reports To: Director of Nursing / Regional Nursing Supervisors
Compensation: Salary Employee. $60,000 - $67,000 year. Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The role of the Registered Nurse is to ensure New Oakland Family Center’s (NOFC) consumers receive compassionate, timely, patient-centered nursing care while participating in the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Outpatient Programs (OP). This position contributes nursing judgement and care within a team-centered approach working in close collaboration with NOFC clinic’s medical, clinical and support teams.

Essential Duties / Functions:
- Performs nursing duties as assigned within the PHP and OP programs.
- Completes thorough nursing assessments on the PHP new admissions.
- In partnership with the Call Center, addresses consumer concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintains accurate records of medication sample dispensing and all medication administration.
- Responsible for symptom management of consumer’s medical concerns while in PHP.
- Provides oversight and final responsibility for obtaining urine drug screens, per policy, in collaboration with Medical Assistant/Receptionists.
- Conducts nursing related educational sessions with notice and knowledge of educational topic prior to for the FACE to FACE program as needed.
- Assists with safety and environmental issues.
- Completes documentation as required by NOFC’s policies/procedures.
- Fulfills all initial and ongoing training requirements.
- Attends daily FACE to FACE meetings, in addition to other assigned meetings, as needed.
- Resolves all crisis situations appropriately.
- Completes all critical incident/restraint reports for assigned clinic.
- Actively participates as a positive, contributing member of the clinic team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Active office environment with direct client interactions, including potentially escalating clients. Computer and phone equipment usage daily. May encounter frequent interruptions. Navy blue scrubs required per Employee Handbook.
Requirements
Active Michigan Registered Nurse License required. Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred but will consider non-baccalaureate degree with commensurate experience. Minimum 1-2 years prior Nursing experience required; Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred but not required. Basic Life certification must be completed within 3 months of hire. Must be able to work well with all types of people including children, adolescents, and adults.
