Position: Seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Outpatient Behavioral Health Team in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley. In this role the Psychiatrist will partner with a multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psych, NPs, Licensed Clinicians, and RNs to support our community members right to thrive. This position requires in-person and hybrid work. Home location Beacon, NY.
Salary: $250,000 - $290,000 annually based on experience, Sign-on bonus available
Status: Full-Time, Hybrid, Permanent, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
Reports To: Medical Director, Associate Medical Director

- Family Services Behavioral Health Centers are eligible for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) through the federal Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). This is a program where an employee’s student loan repayment funds are provided in exchange for a commitment to work at a STAR LRP approved facility for a certain number of years.

In this role you will provide psychiatric care for clients receiving services through our community behavioral health program. Psychiatrists function with wide latitude to exercise independent professional judgment. Psychiatrists also act as resources of information for other employees of the agency. Clinical supervision is received from the Medical Director while administrative supervision is received from the Center Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a license to practice medicine issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Typical work activities:
- Render psychiatric and neurological diagnostic services for clients, utilizing the contributions of mental health professionals.
- Participates in the intake and screening process of patients.
- Provides medication management.
- Works to ensure continuity of service.
- Provides referral information to alternate placement facilities.
- Reviews intake and treatment plans and signs the record as required by regulations.
- Participates in in-service training.
- Participates in information-educational community activities to further community knowledge in the detection and prevention of psychiatric
disorders. - Act as a resource person for other staff in the areas of medicine, psychiatry, and neurology.
- Does related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
- Thorough professional knowledge of the practice of
psychiatry. - Good knowledge of current psychiatric treatments and trends.
- The ability to supervise and instruct staff members.

- Inform Center Director of relevant clinical and administrative issues.
