We partner with Saint Clare's Behavioral Health who provides a comprehensive range of emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services. The programs here incorporate a blend of proven therapeutic methods - including medication, education, counseling, and support - designed to help individuals overcome challenges related to stress, mood, psychiatric, and addiction disorders.

We are looking for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.

Position Highlights

1. Children's Crisis Intervention Services (CCIS)
2. 300k salary plus stipend
3. 28-bed child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit serving ages 5-17
4. Interdisciplinary team approach
5. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm
6. EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

1. Ensure early diagnosis and evaluation; medication management and supervision of treatment in collaboration with other multidisciplinary staff.
2. Evaluations are performed by a psychiatrist for establishing an accurate five Axis diagnosis, appropriate level of care, treatment and aftercare planning.
3. Medication management is pharmacological assessment and interventions, possible modification of existing pharmacological regimen, ongoing determination of pharmacological efficacy, identification and management of adverse effects, initial prescription(s), and renewal(s) as necessary.
4. Psychiatric supervision of treatment involves individual and/or treatment team supervision for initial and ongoing evaluation of patient progress intervention(s), outcome(s), adherence to and efficacy of treatment plan goals and objectives, treatment planning modifications, adherence and maintenance of treatment team focus and priorities, documentation review, and appropriate consultation with medical specialists.
5. Assist with staff development and activities.
6. Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.

Qualifications

1. The psychiatrist shall be a physician licensed by the state of New Jersey.
2. Must be a board certified psychiatrist with two years experience working with youth.
3. Should be involved in continuing education activities to further his/her own professional development.
