Psychiatrist - MedCura Health

The psychiatrist position diagnoses, prescribes medication, monitors medication side effects and participates in the treatment process. 

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Board Certified Psychiatrist.
• Must have and maintain a current Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
• Must have and maintain a current Physician License and Controlled Substance License from the State of Georgia

• Completes Psychiatric evaluation for child and adult patients.
• Performs clinical screening and referral of all conditions in need of consultation from medical, nonpsychiatric specialties.
• Reviews and follows up on treatments ordered by other physicians.
• Reviews, approves and signs all encounters/progress notes for patients.
• Reviews all nonpsychiatric medical orders and prescriptions.
• Performs crisis intervention for patients, during nonoffice hours as assigned, making daily reports to the Medical Director and/or Director of Behavioral Health.
• Consults and advises the provider staff and Medical Director and/or Director of Behavioral Health.
