- Job Summary
- Licensed, or license-eligible clinician with experience providing clinical diagnostic and treatment services which can include individual, group, family, health and behavior interventions, and/or psychological testing. The clinician will conduct a variety of psychosocial assessments and provide care for patients through therapeutic use of self and/or the patient care/problem solving process to assist the patient and family to achieve basic healthcare goals. The clinician is a member of an interdisciplinary team that is responsible for working collaboratively with providers, nurses, leadership and other team members to ensure development and implementation of appropriate standards. May be asked to provide clinical coverage in other areas of the hospital, consistent with training and experience guidelines and needs to have flexibility in traveling between two hospitals 30 minutes apart. As need is derived by the department, the clinician may be asked to provide program consultation, staff education, and/or supervision and training.
- Education
- Required: Doctorate in clinical, counseling psychology or other eligible degree from an APA-Approved program.
- Preferred: Specialized training (e.g., coursework, internship, post-doctoral fellowship) in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and/or health psychology.
- Experience
- Required: 1-3 years related experience – experience can include post-doctoral, and/or independent practice
- Skills
- Able to conduct assessment and treatment of patients in area(s) of assigned operations.
- Able to integrate work activities into multidisciplinary team environment.
- Must be self-directed as will work alone at times.
- Carry out essential functions of the job with potential expansion of responsibility.
- Familiar with age specific needs for patient populations served.
- Clinical capability to provide full range of behavioral health services to medical and to psychiatric patient populations.

- Required: MO State Psychologist License

Required: Masters Degree in a related field of counseling services
Experience
Preferred: 1-2 yrs. experience with wide variety of patient populations

● Ability to work independently & collaboratively in teams
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LMFT, LCSW Licensure, LMSW, or provisional license with completed degree requirements and active plan for full licensure.
