Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychology Manager (LPM) DOC - Expert to oversee the Psychology Department at a State Correctional Institution. This pivotal role will focus on providing clinical supervision to Master’s level clinicians and ensuring the delivery of psychological services in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Corrections policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology; must obtain Pennsylvania license within one year if licensed in another state.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Licensed Psychologist.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide guidance and training to front-line clinicians, focusing on psychometric testing, treatment techniques, and report writing.
- Psychological Testing: Administer and interpret a variety of psychological assessments; sign off on evaluations completed by supervised staff.
- Program Development: Assist in creating and implementing psychological services in line with DOC Policy 13.8.1.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Conduct monthly rounds to oversee service delivery and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement meetings.
- Supervision of Programs: Oversee the Sex Offender Treatment Program and ensure compliance with necessary evaluations.
- Administrative Duties: Review incident reports and medication compliance lists to facilitate follow-up actions.
- Training Requirements: Complete necessary training to maintain licensure, including supervising postdoctoral residents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to state regulations.
- Serve as chairperson for the Psychiatric Review Team and coordinate mental health services within the correctional system.
- Monitor the mental health commitment process and ensure appropriate aftercare for returning patients.
- Conduct clinical reviews for patients engaging in self-harm or suicide.
