About the Role:
Job Summary
Responsible for the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical psychologist or clinical neuropsychologist. Makes note of behavioral observations during the course of the assessment that may be used by the psychologist to aid in test interpretation. The psychometrist may also be responsible for collecting demographic information from a patient. In addition, the psychometrist may also be responsible for various clerical or administrative duties that include but are not limited to: patient scheduling, and procurement of office and testing supplies.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience: Competence in the proper techniques to administer standard psychological testing.

Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written) Bi-lingual skills a plus
Ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease prior to and during testing
Keen observation to details and accuracy
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Interacts with a patient to administer various tests to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients with psychological or neurological disorders.
Confidently and properly administers and scores standard tests.
Pays special attention to the patient's emotional state or any behavioral changes that might occur during testing.
Provides the data from testing procedures to the neuropsychologist.
Times tests and records results.
Frequently interacts, seeks guidance, and is under the direct supervision of the supervising neuropsychologist.
Performs administrative or clerical work in support of the neuropsychologist or The Rehab Institute.
Administers and scores intelligence, aptitude, achievement and other psychological and neuropsychological tests to provide information regarding a patients cognitive functioning.
Uses paper and pencil tests or other testing equipment such as picture tests or finger tapping boards.
Provides data and reports to the neuropsychologist in a legible format.
