About the Job
We are seeking mental health therapists to join the Michigan Mental Wellness team!
Our practice has a psychiatrist and physician's assistants that will provide the majority of referrals. A full case load can be quickly and easily obtainable.
Contractual work at a competitive split, flexible hours, private office and bonuses for full-time status (35+ hours a week). Evening hours are preferred and will fill quickly. Office spaces are made available 24 / 7, but remote telehealth sessions are also made available to patients.
Laid back, casual environment servicing mostly low-acuity patients
Our practice accepts BCBS, Aetna and Cigna insurances. We also offer cash rates.
Psychotherapist Responsibilities:
- Encouraging and reciprocating sustained openness.
- Uncovering clients' difficulties across emotional, relational, and behavioral spheres.
- Generating comprehensive treatment protocols.
- Discerning and addressing pertinent causal factors implicated in identified concerns.
- Altering internal distortions and providing regulatory guidance.
- Instituting fair and consistently reinforced boundaries.
- Forging trusting connections with reputable inpatient treatment facilities.
- Reporting clients' highly dangerous undertakings to the relevant authorities.
- Undergoing your own supervision, when needed.
Psychotherapist Requirements:
- Degree in an applicable Psychotherapy-intensive discipline.
- Receipt of supervised applied Psychotherapeutic training.
- Demonstrable experience as a psychotherapist.
- Expertise in prevailing evidence-based protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled at boosting compliance with interventions.
- Adept at navigating projection, uncertainty, denial.
- A flexible, empathic, and receptive approach to psychotherapy.
About Michigan Mental Wellness:
We are an outpatient mental health practice located in Farmington Hills, MI. Dr. Patrick Gresham is the head psychiatrist and works with his team physician assistants. He is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and specializes i treating ADHD, depression and anxiety.
