PT Instructional Support Specialist- The Mapleton School - Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health

Pay rate: $19.50 - $22.23/hr (based upon experience)

Being a PT Instructional Support Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position will support teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients.  You will assist in the implementation of a basic educational programming and performing duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher inclusive of individual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs.   

Schedule: Up to 32 hours per week with flexibility during the hours that school is in session

Every day as a PT Instructional Support Specialist you will:

• Ensure the health and safety of the students in our private school 
• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
• Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives

The Mapleton School located in Malvern, PA offers education curriculum to children functioning at all grade levels. A multi-sensory educational strategy is used at all schools, employing traditional instruction, hands-on and independent learning, as well as technology, to individualize a student’s progress in all academic areas, particularly math and reading. The transition from school to career, and all of the necessary interrelated skills, are a main focus of the school program. EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
