Overview
VOX Global, a bipartisan strategic communications firm that combines the intensity and agility of a political campaign with the experience of working for some of the most well-known companies and organizations in the world, is accepting applications for our Healthcare Communications fellowship.
The fellowship will start in October and is a paid, six-month position based in our Washington, DC headquarters. Our ideal applicants are talented recent graduates available full-time with the necessary skills to assist our team with writing, research, media outreach, social media analytics, and more. Candidates will join us in a hybrid model of working in-person in our Washington, DC office three days a week and remotely two days a week.
Fellows are given a challenging and stimulating work environment and have the opportunity to participate in professional development trainings to grow their skills. High-performing fellows will also be considered for long-term opportunities to continue their careers with VOX Global.
Strong interest in healthcare, communications, government relations, and issue advocacy is strongly preferred. All candidates should have exceptional attention to detail, strong writing skills, and an ability to learn new topics quickly. An interest (and experience) in health equity is preferred.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. The rate is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
Responsibilities
While no two days look the same, regular fellowship assignments include research, media sweeps, media outreach, and drafting content for a variety of mediums (including social media platforms).
Fellows can expect to work closely with all levels of the organization on a variety of projects for clients in in the healthcare space, specifically biopharmaceutical and biotech companies. They will refine their writing and research skills and be trained on a variety of communications industry tools. From time to time, work on client projects in other industry areas may be assigned.
The fellowship will run for approximately six months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance. Exact start date and end date will be determined in the final stages of the interview process.
Qualifications
+ College graduate, with at least two prior internships or campus experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, or related fields. Healthcare communications experience is a plus.
+ Ability to work 40 hours a week
+ Ability to work three days a week in-person in our DC office (Tuesday-Thursday) and two days remotely (Monday and Friday)
+ Demonstrated interest in communications, public relations, public affairs, and/or related fields
+ Excellent research and analytical skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Interest or experience with social media a plus
+ Interest or experience with data and analytics a plus
