About the Job
- The contractor shall provide Public Affairs and Strategic Communications Support Services in direct support of mission-specific strategic communication plans, and communication products so support implementation including news releases, one-pagers, content for social media and websites, briefing materials for different audiences, interview prep materials, talking points, content for newsletters, correspondence, to include but not limited to, draft emails, appreciation letters, invitations, and other content as needed. The contractor shall review and modernize existing materials including organizational briefings on COR direction. The contractor shall provide the following in support for the mission-specific strategic plans:
- Drafting communications materials such as news releases, one-pagers, job aids, and other content to be used in multiple channels—media, website, social media, etc.
- Maintaining mission-specific briefing materials to be used and updated for various audiences in each mission strategic plan.
- Preparing content for interviews for DCSA spokespersons,
- Drafting talking points for DCSA leaders,
- Preparing DSCA leaders for media interviews and congressional engagements
- Developing and drafting content for newsletters or issuances for all mission areas highlighting areas of change and transformation.
- Must have an active Secret level security clearance
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee
to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
