What you will be doing:
Join the Anchorage State Public Health Laboratory as a Public Health Microbiologist 2 and fight against pathogens such as those affiliated with agents of bioterrorism and emerging diseases in Alaska's only high-containment laboratory facility. You will work with a senior microbiologist and a team of technicians to help protect Alaskans and the United States by rapidly identifying bioterrorism agents and reporting immediately to various local, state, and federal organizations. You will also collaborate with partners to provide training and education in the spirit of promoting successful public health responses in emergencies and providing guidance when characterizing pathogens affecting the health of Alaskans.
