About the Job
San Mateo County Health is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Public Health Microbiologist I for the Public Health Laboratory.
There is currently one regular vacancy in the Public Health, Policy, and Planning Division located in San Mateo, CA, may occasionally travel/drive throughout the County to perform duties of the position. This position may be required to work flexible hours when necessary, including after hours, weekends, and holidays.
The Public Health Microbiologist I performs routine and specialized laboratory tests; and performs microbiological and related laboratory analysis in the areas of bacteriology, virology, mycobacteriology, mycology, serology, parasitology, molecular biology, and water microbiology.
