Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Public Relations Analyst to support our federal client located in Washington, DC. Candidates ideally will have experience in communication and public relations, ideally within the federal government sector, and be able to provide exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.
Essential Functions
- Serving as a liaison between the government and various other Health and Human Services (HHS) operating divisions and component agencies as well as staff divisions and other offices within the agency in order to provide guidance, share information, and coordinate planning and implementation of rollout plans
- Advising the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA), the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS), the Deputy Assistant Secretary, and other designated staff on internal/external communication strategies, messaging, events, and ensuring all are kept updated on departmental and agency communications plans and announcements
- Drafting and editing proactive and responsive communications, including press releases, statements, remarks, memos, briefing plans, social media, and digital content
- Overseeing clearance of press releases, statement, fact sheets, blogs, and other communication materials to ensure materials are reviewed and approved as required to move forward with rollout and meet deadlines
- Monitoring and triaging media inquiries, consulting with press secretaries to assist with accurate and timely responses
- Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
- Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support
